FLOWER IN CHURCH
The flowers this week have been kindly donated by Sue Baty in memory of her parents Ros and Morris.

ST WILFRID’S SUITE FOR ORGAN, BY ANDREW CARTER.
This suite was commissioned from the York composer, Andrew Carter, for the centenary of the church’s foundation in 2002, and of the first service on the site. It was first performed here on 6 October 2002 at that centenary service, celebrated by the Archbishop of York. The suite consists of five movements: Procession; Gospel Fanfare; Offertory; Communion; Finale, of which four will be played this morning, omitting the Offertory.

HARVEST OFFERING
The donations at Harvest Festival were received with great gratitude by the Harrogate Homeless Project.  Many thanks to all who gave items to feed and help those who have no means of feeding themselves.  The weekly collection will continue, with a box by the Duchy Road door and the Lady Chapel door.  If each member of the congregation could give items to the value of £1 a week, we would be raising more than £2,000 a year for the Project.  If you find it difficult to shop, or are unsure what to buy, you are welcome to give the occasional cash donation to Janet Thomas or Shirley Simpson, who will happily buy the items on your behalf.

SONGS FROM THE SHOWS
Thank you to everyone who supported the ‘Songs from the Shows’ concert by the Harrogate Symphony Orchestra.  The evening was a huge success and due to the soloists not charging for their services, we have £2820 for the Development fund. A big thank you to those who helped at this event.

FR GORDON’S INDUCTION
There was a large attendance from St Wilfrid’s and it was a privilege to support Father Gordon in his future ministry.  Please will those who have yet to pay the coach fare of £22 please either pay Pam Grant direct or leave the money with Linda or Rebecca in the Parish Office.

FROM FR GORDON
Over the past few weeks, Julie and I have received many good wishes and kind cards for which we are thankful. We have arrived safely in our new home and look forward to starting the next part of our lives here in West Yorkshire. We were overwhelmed by the leaving gifts that we received. Thank You all for your kindness and generosity. For those who are wondering what we spent the money buying, we bought a fridge freezer for the new house as our old one died a month ago. Be assured of my prayers as St Wilfrid's carries on proclaiming the Kingdom of God to the people of  Harrogate. Once again, Thank You for your kindness toward me and Julie.
